Krishi Vigyan Kendra celebrated World Soil Health Day at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Fatehgarh Sahib on 5th December, 2017 under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and ICAR. Mrs. Mandeep Kaur Nagra (Chief guest of the occasion) appealed farmers to make close rapport with the KVK scientists for the profitable farming in the present scenario. Farmer should utilize the soil testing facilities from such centers to maintain the soil health.

S. Hardeep Singh Chatha, ADC Development, appreciated the efforts of KVK for demonstration of latest agricultural technology for maintaining soil health. Dr. Harinder Singh (Deputy Director, KVK, Fatehgarh Sahib) on this occasion welcome the chief guest and suggested farmers to test their soil for better use of fertilizers. He said during this year KVK, Fatehgarh Sahib has distributed more than 700 soil health cards. He also enumerate the various agronomic practices such as green manuring, inclusion of legume crop, compost etc. to maintain soil health.
