Training Programme on Crop Residue Management at KVK premises on 12.07.2018 organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Fatehgarh Sahib

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Fatehgarh Sahib aware farm women and farmers regarding Crop Residue Management at KVK premises after PM Modi interacted with those associated with women Self Help Groups across India via video conferencing over NaMo app today. 40 farm women and farmers attended the programe. Dr. Navjot Kaur Dhillon, Assistant professor, Plant Breeding, KVK Fatehgarh Sahib, asked them not to burn paddy straw at any cost.

Instead of this, KVK will make available them happy seeder and other machinery for successful raising of wheat and other crops following paddy. She discussed in detail about the approaching problem of paddy straw burning, that not only damages soil properties but also pollute the environment which in turn causes a range of diseases.
